After months of rehearsal the day had finally arrived!
We were all really excited as we set off, and the children gave the bus driver a special rendition of the songs on the way there.
Everything ran well and we found our seats behind the stage with help from the fabulous event staff. Two and a half hours of rehearsals (and numerous trips to the toilet!) later, the children were well ready for their packed tea.
Enthused by the talent of the conductor, musicians and dancers on the stage the children sang their hearts out as part of a choir of 5,000 voices.
We are so proud of the children who had the time of their lives and made the day enjoyable for all of us by behaving so well throughout the whole day.
Thanks everyone for a fantastic day, looking forward to our next adventure!
Carols on the Green
The children had another public performance at the carols on the green event. They performed brilliantly and enthusiastically to a large audience, making a great start to the festive season.
If anyone has taken any photographs of the event I would appreciate copies of them to add to this page, you could email them to the office at the enquiries address subject carols on the green, for the attention of Mrs Wilson.
We had our first public appearance as the new larger choir, at the Manor this morning when we went to sing to the ladies.
The children sang beautifully and the residents really enjoyed listening to them... we have an open invitation to return when we would like to, so I will arrange for us to go and practice performing our pieces for the Scunthorpe music festival just before the Easter Break.
