SPARK Festival – Lincoln Cathedral (Summer Term 2019)

Fox class were lucky enough to visit Lincoln Cathedral’s SPARK Festival again this year.

We were given the opportunity to access a range of brilliant activities that linked to engineering and the wider world: building a car using materials that simulated the rocket technology currently being used to build the world’s fastest car; making tiles for the cathedral roof, using a pulley system to help heave them up to the top; and exploring the aerodynamics of aeroplanes through their design.

We were also able to look around and explore a plethora of different stalls from real life businesses - from historical steam powered technology all the way through to futuristic virtual reality! We even got to see how Kettle crisps are made! We had great fun looking around these stalls and asking questions to those who work for these businesses.

Cool Box Material Experiment ...

This week, we were re-testing 'unexpected results' from our experiment last week... at least we made the most of the pouring rain!
