We will be using a range of texts and film clips during Autumn 1 that will develop our learning on WW1.
We will be focusing this term on: place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Our Topic this term is 'WW1 and WW2'. Our 'big question' that we will be discussing is 'What was life like during WW1 and WW2?' For Autumn 1, we will be finding out about how WW1 started, the countries involved, what life was like for soldiers in the trenches, the involvement of animals, advancements in technology and what the Treaty of Versailles meant for Germany when the war ended.
This term, we will be learning about how Hindus live their lives. They will learn about Hindu beliefs, how a Hindu’s beliefs affect their actions and about the importance of duty, family, community and society. Pupils will also learn about the importance of dharma and ways in which a Hindu might fulfil their dharma.
Our topic this term is 'Light and Electricity'.
As our topic is 'WW1 and WW2', we will be learning about artists famous during WWI and WWII era, their types of work and techniques used to create their pieces and to create artwork based on World War 1 for Autumn 1. They will also look at the art deco movement and how that influenced fashion, buildings and stained glass windows.
