We have been learning about refugees and have based our learning on Onjali Rauf's 'The Boy at the Back of the Class.' This book was a powerful story about friendship and kindness which explored some of our school values too. we explored a variety of different writing genres: descriptions of exotic fruit, non-chrological report on refugees and we even wrote a letter to the Prime Minister to ask him to do more for refugees.
We have also wrote our own Autumnal poems using figurative language. We created new displays in our classroom and even in the corridor to showcase our work!
