During spring term, children will learn how Christian belief is expressed collectively. We will discuss how Christian worship and celebration build a sense of community and learn ways in which worship and celebration engage with/affect the natural world.
At the beginning of the lesson, we used our ‘problem solving’ to think about how we could make the strongest bridge possible out of just 5 pieces of paper.
We worked hard to think about how they could be manipulated/linked together to help strengthen the bridge – working together as a team.
Our bridges were then tried & tested to see which ideas worked the best, comparing each groups’ thoughts.
After reading The Trinity, we explored how the bridge activity metaphorically relates to the Christian story about the relationship between God and Humans, and how the rebuilding of this relationship began.
