Science: The Planets –

There is so much exciting learning for the planets, I couldn’t choose one task, so I thought I’d give you all some ideas and let you decide what you’d like to create this week, based on what you find interesting!

Have a look at the ‘Planets for Kids’ Link, as you can click on each planet and moon and learn more about each one.

You could:

  • Make a 3D planet model or a poster to show the size difference and order of the planets along with some fact sheets about each planet.
  • Use Scratch or PowerPoint for example, to make a presentation about the planets.
  • A Fact Poster
  • Or, you could do one of the above about just one specific planet that you find the most interesting!

History: The Battle of Marathon –

The learning this week includes a little bit of geography and history. Read through the PowerPoint slides and learn about the conflict between the Athens & Sparta!

Both tasks are stated on the PowerPoint slides:

Task 1 is a discussion task;

and Task 2 is a Story Board task.

Have a look through the LINKS below as well to learn a little bit of extra background information around this battle, as I know lots of you are enjoying this topic!

Also have a watch of the Horrible Histories Clip for a little bit of a giggle!
