Over the course of the term, we will be learning to write in lots of different ways for different purposes.

stories/narrative
instructions
non- chronological reports

Autumn 2

This term we will be focusing on narrative. We need to extend our skills with the year 3 and 4 conventions for writing.

sentence openers (followed by a comma)
conjunctions to extend sentences
correctly punctuated speech
accurate use of paragraphs
addition of details to engage the reader
