Curriculum Focus for Spring Term 2 2024
❖ Maths:
Year 3 – Adding and subtracting numbers up to 3 digits securing mental calculation.
Year 4 – understanding and manipulating multiplicative relationships, coordinates.
❖ English – A range of genres including writing to persuade and letter writing to Sir Edmund Hillary. Our English is linked to our geography mountains topic.
❖ Science – We will be investigating if plants really can live forever.
❖ Geography – Are there mountains under the sea? We will be learning all about mountains around the world.
❖ Computing – We will be learning what branching databases are useful for?
❖ RE – How does Christian worship and celebration build a sense of community?
❖ PE – We will be focusing on orienteering and gymnastics.
❖ Music – We will continue to follow our Charanga scheme of work – How Does Music Help Us Get to Know Our Community?
❖ Design and Technology – We will be creating a picture using weaving.
❖ PSHE – How can I make and keep healthy relationships?
❖ French – Children will learn the verbs ‘to be’, ‘to have’ and ‘to live’ in our Ancient Britain topic.
