EYFS Newsletter – Summer Term 1 2026
Highlights of Spring Term 2
This term we have learned lots about the features of castles, and then made our own in D.T.
We role played lots of different careers when we went to Play Avenue. In P.E. we have enjoyed working on our coordination, balance and agility on the bikes. In R.E. we have learned about the celebrations of Easter and Holi, and visited the church to find out more about how some Christians celebrate Easter.
Reminders for Summer Term 1 2026
Please can you make sure your child has a coat and sun hat at school every day. We like to take advantage of our lovely outdoor area and encourage the children to explore and investigate in the fresh air as much as possible whatever the weather (within reason!).
Please ensure your child has a named bottle filled with water with them each day.
Reading diaries will be sent home, and new eBooks assigned, on Fridays. Please return Reading Diaries and books to school on Mondays.
We will be sharing our favourite stories on Mondays and Thursdays, and on Fridays we will be celebrating children’s out of school achievements, so please send any trophies, medals or certificates in on Fridays.
This term our P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday, so children need to come to school on these days in their P.E. kit.
Updates will continue to be uploaded to ClassDojo, so please remember to check for updates. If you need to get in touch with me, please message us directly on ClassDojo. If you would prefer to email, our email addresses can be found using the contact box on our class page on the school website.
