Welcome to Owl Class!
Owl Class is made up of Foundation Stage children who are always enthusiastic and come into school each day excited and ready to learn.
Mrs. Vaughan is our teacher and Mrs Bend is our teaching assistant.
Owl Class works very closely with Squirrel Class.
Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday. On these days we ask that children come into school wearing their PE kit and trainers to avoid the need to change while in school.
Please bring reading books in for changing on Mondays so they can be left for 48 hours before they are changed. New books will be handed out on Wednesdays.
Learning in Owl Class
Pupils in Owl Class follow the EYFS curriculum and its seven areas of learning:
The Prime Areas
The Specific Areas
These areas of learning are all underpinned by the Characteristics of Effective Learning. In Owl Class we work together to develop these characteristics; Playing and Learning, Active Learning and Thinking Critically so that pupils gain the skills that they will draw on as they move into Year 1 and beyond.
Within our EYFS Curriculum, pupils are assessed continuously through observations of their development using Evidence Me. This provides us with information for future planning and highlights next steps for individual pupil’s learning. This helps us to ensure that all pupils make outstanding progress within the EYFS.
