In lower KS2, the children were given time to design their catapults after making X3 different prototypes designs using instructions. They thought about the strengths and weaknesses of what they had previously made and then constructed their catapults using recycling we had collected in classes.
Then, the children were given more time to evaluate and propose some adaptations to improve stability and accuracy. They then made these adaptations, further testing their catapults for a second time!
Great team work and some great results!
