KS1 have been learning 'What is a silhouette and how can I use Lowry’s work in my own?'
LKS2 Autumn 2024 mosaics
LKS2 have been learning about Roman mosaics. They planned their own mosaics before creating one with mosaic tiles, once grouted they were presented on our annual calendars.

UKS2 have been learning about 'How does Dennis Wojtkiewicz capture fruit?' Once they had learnt and practiced their new sketching skills the children created their own artwork in the style of Dennis Wojtkiewicz.

As part of the summer term topic of Vikings, we will be looking at the film ' HOw to train your dragon'. We have begun constructing Dragon Eyes in art.

Pupils learnt about the artist, Dennis Wojtkiewicz. Pupils completed observational drawings of fruit and used a range of photographs to re-create Dennis Wojtkiewicz’s work. Pupils used watercolours, pencils and watercolour-pencils throughout the unit. Pupils also explored colour mixing and tones throughout the unit. Pupils had the opportunity to review and refine their skills, expressing their thoughts and feelings.
