Autumn Term 1

Maths – In Maths Year 1’s will be exploring previous reception experiences and counting within 100. Year 2 will be learning about numbers 10 to 100 and calculations within 20.

English – We will be writing to entertain. We will be using the books We’re All Wonders, The Proudest Blue and What’s Happened to you? to support our learning. We will be developing our use of capital letters, noun phrases, exclamation marks, similes, alliteration, repetition, comparative adjectives and lists of 3.

Science - In Science we will be learning about what our bodies can do and how we can stay healthy.

History – We will be learning about Florence Nightingale and how she changed nursing. We will also be learning about Mary Seacole and Edith Cavell.

R.E – We will be exploring how the Bible says that Christians should treat others and live their lives.

P.E – In P.E we will be doing basic movement and throwing and catching skills. Rabbit will have the sports coach for throwing and catching.

Art - We will be exploring how different colours are made.

Music – We will be exploring how we can make friends when we sing together.

Computing – In Computing we will be learning about technology.
