Class: Rabbit

Year group: One and Two

Teachers: Mrs Duncan (Monday to Thursday) and Mrs Armstrong on a Friday

PPA teacher: Mrs Salvidge

Number of children in the class: 22

(PPA is time for teachers to plan, prepare and assess)

In Rabbit Class there are both Year 1 and Year 2 children.

 Mrs Duncan and Mrs Armstrong are the class teachers.

We have Mrs Needham and Mrs Pettit helping both Rabbit and Robin Class.

Rabbit Class works very closely with both Squirrel Class and Robin Class.

P.E

Our P.E days are Thursday and Friday. On these days we ask that children come into school wearing their P.E kit. 

Homework

Homework is set each Friday and needs to be handed in by the following Thursday morning. 

Spellings

Spellings are given out every Friday for a spelling test the following Friday.

Times Tables

It is important that the children practise times tables at home to help with fluency (2x, 5x, 10x, 3x). Children can practise on TimesTables Rockstars and Hit the Button.

Year 2 children will have a times tables challenge on a Monday. 

Reading

In order to progress in reading it is recommended that a child reads at least four times a week with an adult. Reading books will be set on a Friday.
