Year Four visited Caistor Yarborough in March for an International Day.
During the day the children participated in a Geography session focusing on Human & Physical Geography of a European Region & Region in North/South America - Italy & Mexico. They explored the Physical Landscape of Italy and Mexico – Rivers, Mountains, Deserts, Forests, Cities. In addition they looked at exports – what the countries sell – what they are famous for? And finally, climate.
In an Art session children created masks – Day of the Dead Masks.
In a DT session focused on food the children made and cooked their own Pizzas & Taco Shells.
In a Music session children explored various styles of Music – Mariachi/Samba & Opera and Traditional Stories resulting in the children playing a simple piece of music.
