World Book Day 2023
Across the school, we have taken part in various activities to promote 'Your World Book Day' for World Book Day. We have dressed up in our pajamas and brought in our favorite stories to share at school. The whole school have had fun with our reading quiz which featured some well-treasured books . It was also important for the children to see their teachers as readers too - we had a delivery of a new book for each class that we have been reading in class and focusing some of out activities on.
Article 28 - Every child has the right to an education.
Article 29 - Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full. It must encourage the child’s respect for human rights, as well as respect for their parents, their own and other cultures, and the environment.
We have also taken part in book picnics and book tasting across the school!
To finish off the week, Year 5 and 6 shared stories with Foundation and KS1 to promote a love of reading!
