Learning through Visits - KS1 trip to Lincoln Castle

As part of our Local Study, KS1 visited Lincoln Castle. We made shields, had a banquet, completed the wall walk, had a go at archery and tried on some knights helmets. We learnt LOTS about our local area and what life would've been like when Lincoln Castle was originally built.

Year 2 children went on a History Walk around Scotter, led by Meg. It was very interesting to hear about the history of buildings within Scotter and events that used to take place, particularly that King John had visited Scotter!

KS1 The Great Fire of London - Workshop

LKS2 - Romans

KS1 The History of Flight - Newark Air Museum

We had a brilliant time at Newark Air Museum. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to extend their knowledge of flight!

A great trip to the IBCC for UKS2. Children showed our school value of respect and learned a lot about Lincolnshire and WW2.
