Curriculum Focus for Autumn Term 2025
- Maths:
Year 3 – Adding and subtracting across 10 and numbers to 1000.
Year 4 – Review of column addition and subtraction. Numbers to 10,000.
- English – Children will explore a range of genres, use film clips and stills as a stimulus for descriptive writing, diary entries, historical leaflets and poetry linking with our topics.
- Science – Can animals survive without a skeleton? Can you step on your shadow?
- Geography – What is it like to live by the sea?
- Computing – How do I connect a computer? What is stop frame animation?
- RE – What does pilgrimage mean to individuals and communities?
- PE – Ball skills, fundamentals and hockey.
- Music – We will continue to follow our Charanga scheme of work. learning about how music brings us together.
- D and T – How does a lighthouse work? What does a healthy picnic look like?
- PSHE – How can I keep my body and mind fit and healthy?
- French – Phonics, shapes and musical instruments
