Welcome to Woodpecker Class - a page where you can explore the wonderful work our Woodpeckers put into their lessons throughout the year!

We are a class of Year 4 children, who are taught by Miss Garton and Mrs Wilson. We pride ourselves on being the best we can be in everything we do, whilst also following the school's values of: respect, honesty and friendship. 

P.E. will be taught on Mondays and Thursdays - on these days the children are required to attend school in their PE kit (suiting the day's weather conditions).

Homework will be set on a Friday, which will be reviewed the same day the following week.

On a Monday, a new set of spellings are given and taught that week, and tested the following Monday before the fresh 10 are given.

Reading Diaries will be checked on a Monday and it is expected across the school for each child to read a minimum of 4 times per week.

Spelling will be slightly different from this academic year. We will be continuing to carry out daily spelling sessions in class, however there will be no formal spelling test until the end of term now.  Spellings will be uploaded on Class Dojo on a Monday should you wish to access them at home with your child.
