Online Safety

Resources for parents for e-safety (resources for children, conversations to have with children, using technology at home, adding filters to technology).

Our Local Mental Health team led a session in school for parents on Mental Health and Social Media.

Year 2 had an Online Safety workshop on 17th October 2025.

The children learnt about the dangers of the internet and talking to people we don't know; they are still strangers to us. They looked at a range of apps and their age rating and discussed this.

The children learnt that they should talk to a grown up if they are unsure about things on the internet or if they have a funny feeling in their tummy!

They drew their hand of safety which included 5 people that they felt safe with and could tell them if they were unsure about the internet.

Children in years three and four had a Harry Potter style workshop where they used wands to learn about being respectful online and how to deal with negative behaviour from others.

Children in years five and six have had online safety sessions delivered by a specialist from the Local Authority. They have discussed what is important to them online, how to block offensive content and AI.
