Summer 1

EYFS Newsletter – Summer Term 1 2025

Highlights of Spring Term 2

This term the children have learned lots about the features of castles, and then made their own in D.T.

In P.E. they have enjoyed working on their coordination, balance and agility on the balance bikes.

During our Book Week activities, we saw some live author events and were given tips on drawing characters from the stories we heard.

In R.E. we have learned about places that are special to different people, and walked to the church to find some of the features that we have been learning about.

Reminders for Summer Term 1 2025

Please can you make sure your child has a coat and sun hat at school every day.  We like to take advantage of our lovely outdoor area and encourage the children to explore and investigate in the fresh air as much as possible whatever the weather (within reason!).

Please ensure your child has a named bottle filled with water with them each day.

Reading diaries will be sent home, and new eBooks assigned, on Fridays. Please return Reading Diaries to school on Mondays.

We will be sharing our favourite stories on Mondays, and on Fridays we will be celebrating children’s out of school achievements, so please send any trophies, medals or certificates in on Fridays.

This term our P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday, so children need to come to school on these days in their P.E. kit.

Updates will continue to be uploaded to ClassDojo, so please remember to check for updates. If you need to get in touch with me, please message me directly on ClassDojo. If you would prefer to email, my email address can be found using the contact box on our class page on the school website.
